Special Issue on Intelligent data analysis and applications & smart vehicular technology, communications and applications

Soft Computing techniques represent an emerging field covering an interdisciplinary methodological framework that support the design analysis and deployment of intelligent systems. These techniques include fuzzy systems, fuzzy control, neural networks, evolutionary computing, adaptive learning algorithms and hybrids of these techniques. Soft computing methodologies are applied to a wide range of applications related to optimization, information processing, decision making and intelligent data analysis.

In this special issue there are papers related to theoretical aspects as well as practical applications of different soft computing techniques. The main objective is to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and scholars to exchange their research and practical experiences on all aspects of intelligent systems. The special issue provides an interdisciplinary platform to disseminate the most recent innovations, trends, practical challenges and solutions adopted in the field of advanced intelligent systems. It aims to attract researchers and practitioners who are working in Intelligent Data Analysis and Applications, Vehicle Technology and Communication, the broad area of intelligent data analysis, computational intelligences, signal processing, and all associated applications of AIs.

The editors are sincerely thankful to Prof. Reza Langari, Editor in Chief of the Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems, for the opportunity to organize this Special Issue.

We are grateful to IOS Press, The Netherlands, especially to Maarten Fröhlich and Carry Koolbergen for their excellent collaboration, patience, and help during the evolvement of this volume.

We are equally thankful to all reviewers who shared their support and stand firm towards quality papers submission.

We hope that the issue will provide useful information to professors, researchers, and graduated students in the area of soft computing techniques and intelligent systems applications, finding this collection of articles inspiring, informative, and useful.
