Abstract:
The research is carried out in a sub-basin of the Cañete River, delimited from the Putinza hydrometric station, with the aim of being able to generate the flows at a daily and monthly rate during a period of 39 years (1980 - 2019) and determine the approximate values of maximum flows in the periods that the El Niño phenomenon existed in the aforementioned basin, the methodology used was the GR4j method. On the one hand, the ERA5 grid data belonging to the European Space Agency Satellite was used, using Google Earth Engine (GEE) from which precipitation and average temperature information was extracted. Likewise, from the National Water System (ANA), information was extracted on daily flows from the Putinza hydrometric station between the period 2014-2017, which was used for the calibration and validation of the model. The analysis of results was carried out taking into account the Nash coefficient and the coefficient of determination R2 as efficiency criteria. Finally, the results ob
tained in the calibration and validation are satisfactory, which indicates that there is a good performance.
