Abstract

We present the design of Dart-Dataflow, a middleware for semantic-based, publish-subscribe data fusion and data dissemination in sensor grid. In our system, data published by sensors are represented as RDF graphs based on a shared ontology, and subscriptions are represented as RDF graph patterns. The system provides a RDF Graph Filter to filter the RDF graph to meet subscriptions. And also, we design an intelligent data dissemination framework which implements multiple transport protocols to support different cases of data dissemination. Our system is suitable for fusing and disseminating heterogeneous data from multiple sensor nods in sensor networks; it can be deployed for various applications, ranging from military applications to civilian applications.
