Abstract
The following six papers in this volume are selected papers from a workshop on Conversational Informatics at the 19th Annual Conference of Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence (JSAI 2005, Kitakyushu).
The spread of the computer networks and media technologies have enabled spatially and temporally distributed people to share knowledge. The knowledge exchanged through the media, however, is basically externalized and verbalized by humans manually. Therefore, the available knowledge tends to be limited to formalized one, not tacit one.
