Abstract
Even if other interesting examples could be given we think that some conclusion can be drawn from the above considerations.
Fluidodynamic research in cardiovascular system has become a complicated network of different mathematical tools and computing instrumentation.
Quite evident, particularly in simulating devices and test procedures for prosthetic systems, was the strong impact of complex data aquisition handling an computing techniques that make biomedical fluidodynamic research in some ways different from classical fluidodynamics and characterized by a continuous and sophisticated evolution.
This fact depends upon many factors among which the time dependent process analized that forces a processing computer analysis and the necessity of real time application that favours linearization techniques and advanced random data analysis.
The outcoming is a rich variety both of models and of the related computational techniques that build up a complex research system applied on the specific aims of the cardiovascular research.
In our work the definition and the development of the research system itself has proven to be the real point and stimulating enterprise; ca refull assignement of approaches to the problems and capability and flexibility requirements have been the most difficult goals to be met.
