Abstract
Ptolemy II [1] is a Java implemented modeling, simulation and code generation framework for heterogeneous, concurrent, real-time embedded systems. A key issue in the framework is correct and efficient execution of heterogeneous models of computation within a common simulator by using the object-oriented principles of polymorphism and information hiding.
