Abstract

In mobile computing, a periodic broadcast of frequently requested data can reduce the workload of up-link channel, decreasing the energy consumption dramatically. Many indexing and scheduling techniques have been considered for wireless data broadcast. In this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm for the Optimal Index and Data Allocation problem, which minimizes the access latency.
