Abstract
This paper summarizes the organizational and technical issues involved in creating a digital library of Native American images. Initial par-ticipants include a museum, an archives, and three university libraries. Using Oracle software, the shared images now constitute a database searchable by subject, date, photographer/artist, tribe, geographic location, and format of the material. Dynamic links are provided to the textual collections which house the physical images. The database resides at: http://libmuse.msu.montana.edu:4000/nad/nad.home..
