Abstract
A problem in Web-based exploratory learning is the learning impasse caused by the content of a page. To enable learners to avoid the impasse, it is necessary for a system to adapt the content. We developed a Web-based exploratory leaning support system named ITMS, which belongs to the category of Web-based AES and has the following features: (1) it deals with the open Web, (2) it adaptively integrates the knowledge that they learned into an arbitrary page, and (3) it presumes their latest knowledge states from their knowledge reference.
