Abstract

In order to gain more information about the maturity of software customers, as well as the customer-supplier relationship in general, a Danish national survey was carried out by DELTA and Ingeniøren during the summer of 2001. The survey was based on a part of the BOOTSTRAP process model. It took the form of a self-assessment, allowing the calculation of maturity levels for individual processes for the respondents. The results show a lack of cooperation between customer and supplier as well as a comparatively low maturity of the customers. ISO 9001 certification was found to increase maturity, but in general the respondents’ focus on work processes is quite low.
