Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse and create understanding of the emerging software component markets. The phenomenon is studied through the theoretical perspective of value creation in business relationships. Furthermore, the theoretical perspective is mirrored on empirical data that we have gathered during the last two years. In the end of the paper the possible development directions for software component markets are presented and the factors enabling this development discussed.
