Abstract

Intelligent Tutoring Systems are characterised for incorporating Artificial Intelligence techniques into their design and development, acting as assistants in the teaching-learning process. Currently, Intelligent Agents concepts have been applied to these systems as a way to improve them. DÓRIS is a pedagogical follow-up agent for Intelligent Tutoring Systems developed to perform tasks such as the following: follow students’ interaction with the intelligent tutor system, collect the information required for the modelling of students’ profile used to customise the environment assist and guide students during the construction of their learning. This paper reports the characteristics and functionality of this agent.
