Abstract
Groupware applications such as shared document editors and diaries can greatly enhance the productivity of groupworking when the participants are not necessarily co-located. The only reason why secure group applications do not always benefit too is that there is a lack of appropriate security mechanisms for enforcing the different rights of participants in an activity.
