Abstract
Bicentric perspective is the study of the projection of 3D space from a pair of fiducial points instead of a single one (“centric”, or “natural” perspective). In contradistinction with centric perspective, in bicentric perspective some 3D structure is preserved in the projection. This structure is of two different kinds: it is either purely optical or of a mixed opto-mechanical nature. The optically specified structure is conveyed by the pair of centric projections alone, whereas the opto-mechanical information depends also on a knowledge of the kinematical state of the two sensors.
