Abstract

Texture segmentation has long been a challenging task in computer vision. In this paper, we propose an algorithm which segments a structural texture image into homogenous regions. The algorithm is an integration of the Voronoi polygon tessellation and irregular pyramid segmentation techniques. In this paper, both the algorithm and the experimental results are explained in details.
