Abstract

MATRIM is a computerized system which helps lawyers to adopt a strategy when about to press a judicial or extrajudicial resolution on concrete divorce cases, in view of Spanish legislation. The system offers judicial documentation which is capable of justifying different types of claims, in the light of the characteristics of the specific case, which are established in the dialogue which takes place between the lawyer who uses the system and the programme, the legal texts and the jurisprudence which govern the cases and the interests of the lawyer's client who is seeking advice. The lawyer can decide, in the light of all these points, whether or not to place a claim and, if he decides to proceed, what form it should take. Once the option has been taken, the programme offers the corresponding writ and the relevant documents to justify the claim.
