Abstract

New types of CSCW-technologies have potential areas of use in other kind of environments than those recognised by the current research. Global window allows two or more conference participants at different sites to spontaneosly run any application in a cooperative multi-user mode. Several application areas of Global Window in the Norwegian Postal Service have been identified: computer-assisted learning, business contacts with customers, budgeting, case-handling, decicion support and systems development.
