Abstract
ITS-Engineering provides a developing framework for a tutoring system application in engineering domains. The system is equipped with multiple teaching styles to enable the system to instruct using various teaching styles. These teaching styles are: instructor-oriented; guided-discovery; exploratory; and user-initiated styles. The capability of ITS-Engineering is demonstrated in ITS-CPM (Intelligent Tutoring System for Construction and Project Management); ITS-Shear (Intelligent Tutoring System for Shear Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Beams). The paper proposes a significant improvement in development time and cost reduction when creating an ITS application within ITS-Engineering.
