Abstract

In the paper we present an information system which is being developed for medical purposes, especially for providing medical staff with a large database of image and video data, distributed over several medical centers in Europe. The aspects of the system are to develop user-friendly and intelligent interfaces for database querying as well as services for multimedia data management and archiving with quality of service requirements. The aim of the system is to support medical diagnostics and teleeducation.
