Eigenface is a digitized set of face templates. The images are at the same pixel resolution and taken under standardized lighting levels and scaled to align the eyes and mouth. Any human face can be considered to be a combination of these standardized face templates. Storage capacity can be greatly improved as faces can be recorded as a list of values pertaining to the percentage value that each eigenface contributes towards the target face.
