Abstract
This paper proposes the application of object oriented database techniques and multimedia technology to computerised match analysis. It describes the benefits of immediate quantitative and video sequence feedback in coaching, flexible querying, reusability and extensibility. The particular object oriented concepts of use to such a system are outlined as well as the current limitations of computer storage for match video information.
