Abstract
European Union countries are preoccupied to develop legislation and action plans that encourage environmentally friendly technologies and implementation of reverse supply chains. The role of activities in a reverse supply chain is to collect and re-process the manufactured products at the end of their lives in order to recover their remaining market value. An effective management of the reverse supply chain operations leads to a higher waste recovering and reduces environmental risks. The present paper intends to present some initiatives, researches and logistics concepts in reverse supply chains.
