Abstract
School Without Walls - SWW is a tool conceived to address some of the challenges presented by today’s Education in a digital world. Its educational features should promote students active role in their own learning experience, and improve their school engagement. Through the use of SWW, teachers and educators will create, access, use and reuse free educational material. Learning will no longer be confined to the school walls but will include any spot of natural surroundings or urban environment that has previously been geotagged with an educational content. Learning in and outside school walls is one of the 11 promising Educational Technology Trends for 2017, as students will develop a greater interest for their environment and wider surroundings [1]. Using the tool should help students make the connection between what is being taught at school and its relationship with everyday life, situations, problems. The tool is presently used in extracurricular educational context, but will evolve to be included in the classrooms.
