Abstract

A method plan and the hardware realization of substation reactive power comprehensive control device are presented in this paper. The method of fuzzy control is used to control the voltage and reactive power of substation, and the structure of the compensator is designed as a whole. The function of the device is to improve power factor, reduce line loss, save electric energy and improve voltage quality. The controller mainly uses single chip microcomputer technology to collect and calculate the current, voltage, active power, reactive power and power factor of the circuit or distribution equipment. And device can effectively decrease day-adjusting times of the switching of on-load transformer and paralleled compensation capacitors in substation, and then improve the controlling ability of power system and its voltage quality remarkably. Based on the theory of area control, the switching power capacitor is controlled to realize the automatic compensation of reactive power, and the power factor is adjusted to the optimal state.
