Abstract

Various steganographic techniques are best combined with different encryption techniques for the enhanced security and hiding purpose. Among all encryption schemes the XOR technique is more often used for less distortion. XOR of secret message with a secret key is one of the commonly used approaches for the cryptographic purpose. This paper presents a different XOR methodology without using a secret key. Also, comparison is done among the two XOR techniques namely with secret key and without secret key. The result analysis among the implemented techniques yield that XORing with the LSB without using secret key shows less distortion and effective encryption as compared with XORing with secret key.
