Abstract
In all kinds of bedding, pillow is the most important tool of supporting the head during sleep, and it is also the key to get proper support for the cervical vertebra during this period. People change their sleep postures to avoid the discomfort caused by bad blood circulation derived from the prolonged com-pression of the nerves. It pointed out the discomfort caused by the prolonged compression of body, and pro-posed the appropriate relative positions where a pillow can properly support the body, thereby concluding the design factors of innovative bedding. This study was conducted in three directions, including user experience, expert interview, and market feasibility. This study aimed at proposing the principals of the design of pillows, so as to reduce the discom-fort caused by uneven pressure distribution in the body due to the changes of sleep postures. This result is intended to provide follow-up research on pil-low design as a reference.
