Abstract

The paper proposes a scheme for secondary virtual circuit test based on the characteristics of intelligent substation, and the test scheme is divided into two types including dynamic test and static test, the static test is based on the Substation Configuration Description (SCD) file configured for the whole intelligent substation, firstly virtual terminal connections are exported from SCD by the order of separations, the information associated with each separation is generated as a table type file, checking whether SCD file is consistent with the secondary design drawings. The dynamic test is based on the configure information in SCD as well, then communication condition, message analysis and receiving and dispatching simulation are tested for the network communication, verifying whether the device’s communication actions are satisfied to IEC 61850 and the requirement of engineering design. The scheme fully considers the characteristics of intelligent substation network and the communication details that IEC 61850 sets, and strictly checks the important information in the virtual circuit, making sure that virtual circuit is satisfied to the requirement of design. The test scheme provides not only help for the debug and acceptance of the project but also convenient for quick problems searching in operation.
