Abstract
Emotional intelligence (EI) and leadership are key factors for the transformation of society. A good leader has the ability to influence others to make a change and achieve common goals. The purpose of this work was to develop leadership skills in students of Psychology Career, through the application of EI improvement techniques considering aspects such as: perception, facilitation, understanding and emotional regulation. During seven weeks various activities were developed to improve each of these aspects.
We worked with 40 students, 20 men and 20 women. The methodology applied is based on a case-control study, with three stages that are detailed in continuation: Stage 1: Initial application of the TMMS 24 questionnaire (Trait Metamood Scale); Stage 2: Execution of practical activities for the improvement of leadership based on IE skills; Stage 3: Final application of the TMMS questionnaire 24.
The conclusions reached reveal a remarkable improvement in the ability of emotional attention of women with respect to men, while in emotional clarity, women improve the results compared to men, on the other hand, the ability to Emotional repair is greater in men than in women.
