Abstract

In this era of the Internet of Everything, the application of big data has become an inevitable trend in the world. Whether it is through big data to promote personalized services, or relying on big data to optimize urban services, data is dramatically changing our lives. While people enjoy the convenience brought by the Internet and data, it also inevitably brings some problems. Recently, the phenomenon of Internet companies using big data for price discrimination (which is “big data killing”) has caused heated debate. This article will explore the reasons behind the killing of big data from an economic perspective and study the behavioral strategic choices of enterprises and consumers in this situation. Finally, according to the above analysis, we provide corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to promote the stable development of the economy in the Internet era.
