Abstract

This article describes the motivation, development and results obtained with the use of an arcade with a game designed to prepare for the selection process for admission to the Instituto Federal Catarinense. Realizing the importance of using technologies for educational purposes, combining the needs that schools have to prepare their students for academic life, FlipIFC presents itself as a possibility to make preparation attractive and stimulating. The platform developed with the Java programming language, the MySQL database and using the knowledge of the technical course for the development of the arcade machine, showed positive results, confirming the effectiveness of the proposal in attracting students and assisting them in the test preparation process.
