Abstract

This article aims to propose a method of qualitative analysis and risk management in software development project environments, using a combination of RFMEA and System Dynamics. Therefore, it was possible to analyze the main risks in software development projects from the literature review. Based on those risks, a survey was applied with experts of one of the projects of the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) to estimate the probability of occurrence, impact, and detection of each risk. Through RFMEA, it was possible to identify and prioritize the project’s risks, and with Systems Dynamics, to evaluate the causal relationships among them. This is a case study and qualitative research carried out with the validation of ten risks in a total of 23, establishing the strategies and recommended actions for each one of them.
