Abstract

Implementation of health-and-safety-related innovations such as digitalization has many benefits. Digitalization can serve as a tool for monitoring employees’ safety, supporting and improving workplace health promotion, registering and detecting workplace hazardous conditions, setting criteria which influence behaviour of employees, performing training activities, identifying trends in health and safety management, etc. This paper explores the tools and the perceptions of safety managers towards the use of digital OHS systems and proposes new OHS processes for an occupational health module. The existing occupational health tools in different countries are analyzed e.g. EHS Insight, Quentic EHS management software, Australian WHS MONITOR™, VITS. The new proposed OHS processes will automatize the initial training of the employee which enables the safety manager to allocate their time more efficiently.
