Abstract

In this paper a second order, continuous-time system perturbed by external disturbances is presented. The robustness for the whole control process is achieved by applying a time-varying switching line. Moreover, a finite time convergence of the representative point to the demand state is ensured by selecting a nonlinear sliding curve. An absolute value of the control signal is limited from above by a positive parameter. ITAE quality index is applied in order to evaluate the dynamical performance of the system.
