Abstract

This article addresses the educational field of design, from the systemic approach to project learning. Specifically, it deals with methods for the synthesis of expressive concepts in packaging design, enhancing the relationship between syntactic and semantic dimensions in design practice. For this, an exploratory transversal approach was used, integrating three researches: one that proposes systemic methodologies in teaching fashion design, another that investigates strategies for the delimitation of graphic-semantic guidelines in the teaching of graphic design and, finally, a research on methodological tools for packaging design. This interaction supported the development of a proposal for a tool adapted to online teaching of packaging design, which will be applied to the Digital Design degree at Universidad International de La Rioja. In addition to providing an unprecedented tool, the study confirms the advantages of graphic-visual strategies as facilitators of project thinking.
