Abstract
The use of Sandbox games development environment in education has been increasing in popularity during the past decade. The topics introduces heuristic approach to evaluate the possibility of UX that created by sandbox game developer environment, through the University game design course, the course requires students use the sandbox game develop environment to create different types of games and upload online. Based on our previous work and experience, we propose an evaluation framework mainly composed of heuristic (game / game story, virtual interface) to detect different problems in the game. To evaluate its applicability in measuring UX factors, we tried to compare the expert evaluation results of five games produced by the experimental results with the game reviews online. Our results show that there is a correlation between the satisfaction of UX and the scores of games created by sandbox game development environment.
