Abstract

Conflict refers to the opposite or inconsistent opinions of different roles in a team environment. To support design practice, this paper adopting semantic analysis to summarize small crane of Zoomlion and concept car of Key laboratory of automobile body of Hunan University, the information of perceiving differences of managers, users, and designers’ reaction to different shapes during the two collaborative design review processes, and the conflicts caused by difference information. Additionally, six types of conflicts based on emotion and cognition are concluded. By observing the design process, It is found that there are two different types of conflict resolution methods in collaborative design: cognitive fusion and emotional transformation. The resolution method of cognitive conflict is a linear resolution path of knowledge matching, and the resolution method of emotional conflict is a net-like resolution path associated with multiple images. Finally, this paper applies the method to practical design examples to verify its effectiveness.
