Abstract

In this paper, we describe tips for employing open educational resources (OERs) to reduce and most often eliminate textbook costs in information technology (IT) courses. These techniques and resources have been mined from our fifteen years of experience of including OERs in our IT online and face-to-face courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. In addition to describing them, we provide our outcomes and implementation advice for OERs.
