Abstract

The issue of the Internet of Postal Things has come to the forefront of scientific research at the university, where one of the study programs of bachelor’s and engineering studies is focused on the training of managers and experts in the field of postal technologies and services. The area of the use of the Internet of Postal Things has not yet been thoroughly examined on a global scale, although in professional circles we already find indications of concrete results of the use of the Internet of Things in the conditions of the postal sector. For this reason, in this paper we present an approach to understanding this issue and finding the correct interpretation of the term “Internet of Postal Things”. As an educational institution, we also needed to map the current perception and understanding of this issue in the segment of our students, but also those who do not complete university studies, but use postal services and are interested in encountering information and communication technologies, such as in the form of the Internet of Postal Things.
