Abstract

Schizophrenia and other disorders of the schizophrenia spectrum are the 8th leading cause of disability in the world and affect 1–3% of the general population. These disorders are characterized by the presence of several symptoms, including negative symptoms such as decreased motivation. This type of symptom is particularly troublesome for people suffering from this disorder because it affects their daily life, it makes people have very sedentary behavior. This can have consequences on their health in the long term because a sedentary lifestyle facilitates the development of certain chronic diseases. One solution to this problem is to encourage people to maintain a certain level of physical activity. In this paper, we present a serious game designed to encourage people with this type of disorder to maintain a level of physical activity. This game aims to be integrated into the daily life of the players. We present changes made since our previous work. We present feedback from different people in the target population who have tried the game. The feedback indicates that the lack of aggressive content is nice but that the lack of challenge limits the long-term investment.
