Abstract
The evaluation of the level of English according to the standards established by the common European framework of reference is reflected in the redesign of the pedagogy of national and foreign languages of the UPSE the online application of the International Examination of Proficiency in English or International Test of English Proficiency (ITEP) carried out by the Continuing Education Center in conjunction with the National and Foreign Language Pedagogy Career of the Santa Elena Peninsula State University in 2019 and 2020. The objective of this study was to determine the level of English of the students of the National and Foreign Language Pedagogy Career of the UPSE according to the common European framework of reference through an online exam in the ITEP in the teaching-learning process English assessment online tool ITEP as an external assessment strategy. To measure the level of English language skills in the national and foreign language pedagogy at the Peninsula de Santa Elena state university, this research aims to describe the processes planned and executed to carry out this online assessment and at the same time present the results obtained. So that they become essential inputs for decision-making and actions that allow meeting the professional profile embodied in this academic unit.
