Abstract
In the context of globalization processes, the concept of research area is found increasingly frequently and has several definitions. Main characteristics that can be differentiated among them are “interaction of research centers and schools,” “environment that ensures functions and development of science and technology,” and in a more general terms, it is defined as a “moving system.” Research collaboration suggests interaction at several levels: Interstate, regional and interregional, interdepartmental, as well as at the levels of relations among research institutions, research teams, academic institutions, and researchers. Such collaboration is characterized by intelligent manageability of its components. The main purpose is to exchange information on relevant trends and results of various studies.
