Abstract

Many school districts across the globe have numerous technology initiatives to enhance the learning opportunities and also to ensure the safety of the school children while commuting in their school bus. One initiative enables the “Connected School Bus” by integrating a mobile or cellular gateway, on-board global positioning system (GPS), passenger Wi-Fi connectivity, video cameras and other capabilities. The Connected School Bus provides a host of benefits for the students, parents, drivers, and the school administrators.
