Abstract

The paper discusses the studied results of the use of telecommunications and digital technologies by small and medium enterprises in Russia, the readiness of enterprises to develop in the context of global digitalization and challenges of the new COVID-19 pandemic. In order to meet the research objective, we combined a number of methods and techniques, namely desk research, statistical analysis, and analysis of empirical data obtained by means of a survey. Digital technologies and telecommunications are more and more actively penetrating the realm of small and medium business while the digital maturity of enterprises and their capability of using telecommunications is going to become a major survival factor in the post-pandemic world. Enterprises that apply digital technologies and telecommunications are more adapted to the new market requirements and have better chances to survive.
