Abstract

The social gregarious nature of human beings determines that public space is a stage with social groups and tribes as its image. Considering and treating the public environment from the artistic point of view is an important aspect for human beings to optimize their living conditions and their own situation. In the 1960s,The National Art Foundation of America and the Public Service Administration have carried out a series of activities such as art in the public domain and art percentage, during which the concept of public art was born. People began to think about how to create art in public space, how to bring the installations in the exhibition hall or paintings into life. Public art emphasizes that its characteristics must have public nature, and its artistic creation needs to show human history or major events in specific areas. Public art must also have the characteristics of openness, and the forms and contents of artistic expression need to be integrated into the public life, with a wide audience. Public art also needs both materiality and spatiality. While using a variety of artistic expressions, it integrates into space and its cultural connotation. With the rapid development of science and technology in the 21st century, virtual reality, augmented reality and other technologies make it easy for people to get spiritual satisfaction in the virtual world, and people are willing to lock themselves in the compiled programs, revise it over and over again to achieve the effect of imitating reality. The ability of communication interaction has been weakened. How to re-establish interpersonal communication and enhance mutual communication has become an important issue in today's society. The artistic creation of new media in public space, especially the design of interactive installation can not only improve the economic benefits brought by the passenger flow in public places, but also enhance the emotions between people and shorten the distance between them. The interactive installation not only meets people's demands for art, but also weakens the inequality caused by cognitive differences, effectively explains the characteristics of artistic creation in public space, and uses unique artistic expression, become a popular art form. Taking the Yuanmingyuan night tour project as an example, this paper summarizes the experience of the integrated development of interactive devices and public space by analyzing the design process of interactive devices in the park. Combining the theories of user experience and psychology, this paper studies the concrete methods of improving user experience by interactive installation in public space.
