Abstract

Guangzhou Puxin Village is a typical traditional village on the fringe of Guangdong. Its traditional village architecture has distinctive Lingnan characteristics and has important research value. However, with the rapid change of society and the rapid advancement of urbanization, the structure and functional space of traditional village buildings in Puxin Village can no longer meet the needs of The Times, and a large number of village buildings are facing the dilemma of idle, collapse or even disappearance all the year round. This dilemma is accompanied by the destruction of the fabric of traditional villages and the loss of cultural heritage. Starting from the protection and activation of traditional village buildings in Puxin Village, Huangpu District, Guangzhou, this article will use the system theory to analyze the hierarchical relationship of “element-structure-relation-environment” in the protection and activation of traditional village buildings, discuss the systematic characteristics of traditional village buildings in Puxin Village, Guangzhou, and discover, diagnose, qualitatively identify its system problems, and confirm Revamp the target and propose a design strategy for protection and activation. It is hoped to provide guidance for the protection and activation of surrounding traditional village buildings and add samples for the protection and activation of surrounding traditional village buildings.
