Abstract

Packaging is of great significance to the sales of fruits and vegetables. The future design for fruit and vegetable packaging is conducive to improving the circulation and sales of fruits and vegetables. As science and technology have developed, intelligent interactions are becoming popular. Meanwhile, the manufacturing of intelligent color-changing materials is also maturing. Combining intelligent interaction technology with new color-changing materials for the design of fruit and vegetable packaging is an attractive issue. Many researchers have focused on developing new color-changing packaging materials and technology, while few have studied intelligent color-changing packaging from the perspective of design. Therefore, our study took design as main perspective and discussed the current research about intelligent color-changing materials and technologies in fruit and vegetable packaging design. Speculative research and cluster analysis have been conducted based on relevant literature and practical cases. Finally, design strategies and suggestions have been proposed for intelligent color-changing packaging design of fruit and vegetable by combining plant properties and human emotional needs.
