Abstract

Technology development in Indonesia boost the growth of mobile-based games industry. It drives many users, especially children, interest for playing games even to become addicted due to the parents give smartphone to their children without controlling and supervising them. In contrast to, mobile-based games as part of e-sport becomes popular even give high-salary promising for the pro player. So, there is benefit for children to play games if their parent control and guide them to manage time for playing games as well as time for doing other activities, such as studying, having a lunch, taking a rest. For helping parents’ control and guide their children while they are playing games, a parenting control application is needed. In this study, using User-Centered Design (UCD) method, parenting control application for children’s playing game, Anoranza, was designed to fulfill the user’s need and user-friendly. This application is built specifically for Indonesian parents.
