Abstract
Effective learning is the key to promoting learning objectives and improving the quality of classroom teaching. Exploring data visualization tools to promote effective learning behaviors and promote classroom reduction and quality improvement has important theoretical significance and practical value. This study is guided by meaningful learning theory and metacognitive theory and uses literary analysis and action research methods. By exploring the occurrence mechanism of effective learning of primary school students, analyzing the role of data visualization in supporting effective learning of primary school students, proposing a general teaching process for data visualization to promote effective learning of primary school students, and initially constructing a strategy framework for data visualization to promote effective learning of primary school students. Then, after two rounds of teaching practice activities, the strategies’ implementation and refinement were carried out to build a strategy application model of data visualization for effective learning of primary school students. The strategy application model emphasizes effective learning goal orientation, based on effective learning processes, and facilitates effective learning through visual representation of data. This study examined the effectiveness of the application of the strategy using the effective learning assessment system for primary school students, and the results confirmed that the strategy had a significant contribution to both the process and outcome of effective learning for primary school students.
