Abstract
With the continuous development of educational reform, the construction of “fair and quality education” has become the main task of China’s education at present. Although the synchronous online class dedicated to rural students (SOCRS) plays a significant role in promoting educational balance, it lacks the class interactivity and a sense of presence. To solve this problem, the researchers designed an augmented interactive teaching system for the SOCRS, which was piloted in the teaching community of Xianning City, Hubei Province. Students’ acceptance of the augmented interactive synchronous online class dedicated to rural students (AISOCRS) is also explored through relevant teaching experiments. It is found that students’ acceptance of AISOCRS is at a high level, and there is no significant difference between students in central schools and rural small schools. In addition, students’ acceptance of AISOCRS is affected by classroom interaction, student participation, and playfulness.
