Abstract

In conventional architecture the Content Providers (CPs) are need of topology information, it is hard for them to establish a pricing plan. To solve these problems, we propose a novel architecture based on Software Defined Networks. In this architecture, the Infrastructure Provider (IP) hosts the cache servers and decides the content pricing. We develop game-theoretic models to study the interaction between IP and CP. We use a generalized Zipf distribution to model content popularity. We analyzed the interactions between the IPs as a non-cooperative game. We use a Stackelberg game to capture the interactions between the CP and IPs. Across the mathematical study, we demonstrate the uniqueness of the Nash equilibrium. An iterative and distributed algorithm based on best response dynamics is proposed to achieve the equilibrium point.
